FAQ
Questions, answered
Do I need Apex, Visualforce or document templates?
No. Lightning PDF Generator is configured entirely in Lightning App Builder.
Can I download an image instead of a PDF?
Yes. The image options produce PNG. You can also get one image file per component.
Can I put several components into one PDF?
Yes. The multi-component compiler merges the components you pick, in order, into a single document. Turn on page breaks to start each one on its own page.
Can file names include record details?
Yes. Use merge fields such as the case number or account name so every download is named for its record.
Can agents export an email thread?
Yes. The email thread export is available as a paid add-on. Email info@codeylabs.com for pricing and installation.
Are there content limitations?
Output is generated in the browser, so PNG images on the same domain as the record page render best. Some special characters and SVG icons may not appear. Details are in the knowledge base.
